Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful night ringing in the New Year with friends and family and champagne. I spent the evening celebrating a friend's birthday in Seattle and these photos, back at home in Tacoma, represent my slow morning recovery (still in progress, by the way). We went out to some low-key bars in the Ballard area last night and I basically wore this same outfit - velvet skinnies, a white chiffon blouse with gold detail from this great boutique Francescas, but paired it with some sparkly BCBG wedges. This morning we had a gorgeous sunny drive back home with a pristine view of the Cascade ranges and Olympic mountains - the perfect view for the first day of 2013. I am happy to be back home enjoying the view from inside while eating pastries and watching endless Buffy episodes, the perfect lazy day before heading back to work again.
