Belted Gingham

This shirt can easily be cast into the weekend-wear, casual-only wing of my closet (sure, let's just pretend my closet is large enough to have designated 'wings'!). Alas! I will not allow it to be so! Layering it over a classy pencil skirted dress, belting it and adding some fancy lady heels and there you have it. Work appropriate and no longer considered 'just a cute top I wear on chore and errand day.'

Gingham top: Old Navy; Belt: H&M; Pencil Dress: H&M; Heels: Payless

I love that you dressed up gingham. It always felt like such a casual, weekend fabric to me. But this look definitely proves that it can look polished for work. Super adorable!

I always seem to overlook gingham as a viable wardrobe option. I need to stop doing that.
