A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

CP: I've always been a homebody at heart and love to surround myself with things that make me feel connected to the people I love. Reading a classic on a Saturday is a favorite past time, sweetened only by the fact that the copy I hold belonged to my mother when she was a child. When deciding on a necklace to complete my look for the day, I turned to an old favorite: My great grandmother's gold circle locket engraved with her initial, E, for Ethel May.

Cardigan: Old Navy; Blouse: h&m; Jeans: h&m; Shoes: Target, kids section; Necklace: Antique family heirloom; Novel: Betty Smith's 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn'

I'm so glad you wrote a Tree in Brooklyn post since you commented on my To Kill A Mockingbird bag :) I just love reading...so much so that growing up my mom always punished me by taking away books...and all through college I got teased for always having my nose in one :) We should exchange reading lists or something!

Love your bunny print collared shirt...so many good things in one!!! Following your blog, darling :)
